Previous week our team went to gaming conference DevGAMM in Moscow.
It was two days of inspiring speeches, networking with indie game makers, testing new awesome games and lots of fun.
Among speakers were Unity Founder/CEO David Helgason, Rami Ismail from Dutch team Vlambeer with a great speech. Big thanks to indie developer Mikhail Pigichka for interesting session “The power of color in games”.
After sessions it was so called “Game Lynch”. During this special session listed games were discussed and criticized by jury. After each “lynch” the audience voted, if the jury was objective or not. The losing party had to drink a freaky alco-cocktail %) The judgement was in a friendly, but honest manner.
Game Lynch is great way to get a feedback from industry professionals and the audience, find out if your game sucks and which part of it needs to be changed.
In the end the was a DevGAMM Awards! Very emotional moments :)
Despite some insignificant technical f*ck up, the conference was well organized overall.
Unlike the common events in Moscow, DevGAMM has a true indie spirit.
Great networking, friendly atmosphere, high concentration of indie game developers there! We’re glad that such kind of events is going on there. Networking with enthusiasts game makers, giving/getting a feedback is essential part of indie game dev, so
BIG THANKS to organizers Lerika Mallayeva and Co <3
We’ll be waiting for the next DevGAMM and hopefully be there ^_^
Amazing video of Titanomachy that has been placed after battle in B-R5RB system. (Already running to pay for my account :D)
Hey folks! These 3 days we’ve worked hard on our new game for #LD28 !
Though a lot has been done, we haven’t submitted this game to Ludum Dare. We had too little time for some important features, without which the game will be too basic.
We used Unity 4.3, which is great for 2d now. For graphics I used Pixen and Photoshop. Btw Pixen can scale up by a power of two without loss, which is also cute! :3
Here’s some shots about what have been done. Now we continue working on the game. Details & updates are coming soon.
Stay tuned! :)
Hi there! As you may know, Ludum Dare 28 is held on this weekend. And we’re participating in it.The theme for this time is “You Only Get One”.After a short brainstorm with Anton we’ve decided to make some kind of 2d platformer. Shortly when gameplay design has been ready, we’ve started to work on level design. Here are results of 6 hours of work on it! :)
Here’s our “Mystery Band” set from Friday at THE FEST. This was one of the most fun nights of tour. Sorry, again, to everyone who couldn’t get in. Hope this makes up for it.
